Hispanic Writers
A partnership between the University of Massachusetts’ William
Joiner Center for the Study of War and Social Consequences
and the El Jolgorio de Massachusetts, Inc., this successful and
innovative program brings Latino literacy artists from the United
States and Latin America to Boston for week-long workshops
aimed at introducing Latino students to literature and its
importance to educational advancement and social
communication.
In addition, the Hispanic Writer’s program utilizes a series of
interactive seminars and lectures to help students find their own
voices as writers and to use literature as an alternative for
conflict resolution.
